Graham held several workshops and private lessons in Bend OR. I participated in the workshops only and found the time well spent. Graham is a warm and welcoming personality. He did not teach any complicated step sequences or "moves" but rather focused on basic tango movements and simple steps, and executing them well from both "sides" of the embrace with clarity and dynamism. This is a great place for beginners to start, and even advanced dancers can benefit from his insights. Plus, Graham is an excellent DJ for traditional music, with a deep knowledge of the music and great song selection.

Thank you, Peter! Was really a pleasure to get the chance to talk with you and explore the dance. Means a lot to me your words especially since you have Anchorage roots in tango with the ole veteran, Dan B! Until soon and much appreciated!

This is a very welcoming community, and Graham teaches tango in a way anyone can learn. He makes it as simple as walking, which makes it very easy to use on the dance floor. Also, you have to come at least once to see the doors

  Response from Puerta al Tango

Thank you, Sam! Been great seeing your dance fill in with clever subtleties. So appreciate you studying with us and bringing good onda with you!

Graham has a unique gift for teaching the felt connection between the body, floor, and music. His instruction is engaging, fun, and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day workshop in Bend!

After my private and group lessons with Graham, I became a better dancer through the understanding , not just of step sequences but of the musicality, culture and styling of this beautiful dancer.

I was someone who was quite intimidated by dancing but from the moment I walked into Puerta-al-Tango I felt welcomed into a kind and inviting space, and into the fascinating world of Tango and a wonderful community! Graham is a fantastic teacher whose approach to teaching Tango is dialogical. I never had to learn "steps", instead the journey has always been about understanding movement and being embodied. In my journey here I've learned that there is wisdom in the body that sometimes gets obscured by our thinking. What a joyful discovery!

  Response from Puerta al Tango

Thank you, Kedar! It has been such a pleasure to get to know you and see your dance grow and your warm personality shine through the embrace and music. I so appreciate your good humor and insight and all the lovely people you have brought with you who have also become part of the community. So excited to see where this dance takes you, my friend!
